Parents as Career Partners

Of interest to parents and caregivers are the Parents as Career Partners (PACP) sessions.  They will help parents and caregivers understand the current work and training environment, as well as provide practical steps to assist your children with career planning.

11.45 am

Profit from Experience

These sessions are aimed at people 40 years or older and provide information on the Profit from Experience program which can help with information about career guidance, where the work is, how to update your skills, training options and skills recognition.

12.45 pm

Apprenticeships and Traineeships

With more than 80 apprenticeships and 400 traineeships on offer finding the right one can be a challenge.  Get the low down on the process.

Vet In Schools
Has your child made plans for 2009?  Did you know that Vocational Education and Training is available to school students?  In this session you will find out about a range of VET programs, how these options can help students achieve secondary graduation and also put them on the path to a successful future.

School to University transition sessions

Did you know that many 1st year university students struggle with the transition from school to Uni and may even drop out?  These sessions aim to give parents and students valuable information about what it will be like when students commence their studies at university.  Forewarned is forearmed!
